Neurosurgeons in London have successfully performed the world’s first AI-assisted operation to remove a brain tumour. This groundbreaking procedure, which saved the sight of a 48-year-old man named Rhys Hibbert, was carried out at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), part of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Details of the surgery, performed in May, were kept confidential until Thursday to allow for the patient's recovery.
