England secured a bronze medal in the women’s artistic gymnastics team final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The team, including Abi Martin, held their nerve through a tense final rotation to narrowly edge out Wales by less than a point. Australia took gold, with Canada earning silver.
The Australian team set an early lead, but England's solid start on vault and a strong performance by Shantae-Eve Amankwaah on uneven bars kept them in contention. Despite a fall from Ruby Stacey, which did not count towards the final score, England's collective effort was enough to secure third place.
