India's representation in the prestigious QS World University Rankings has seen a remarkable increase, rising from 11 institutions in 2015 to 52 in the 2027 rankings. This significant growth reflects the advancements and initiatives in the country's higher education sector.
The Centre attributes this positive trend to increased participation in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and the impactful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This upward trajectory highlights India's growing prominence on the global academic stage.
