In a significant move towards environmental sustainability, the state of Andhra Pradesh has initiated the establishment of 107 new waste processing centres across its Urban Local Bodies. This major project is backed by an investment of ₹528 crore.
The A.P. Swachha Andhra Corporation has announced that these facilities are projected to be operational by mid-June. Upon completion, the centres will collectively process 5,385 tons of waste daily, marking a substantial upgrade to the state's waste management infrastructure and contributing positively to climate change mitigation efforts.
