Hundreds of women in England suffering from hard-to-treat ovarian cancer will now have access to a new life-prolonging treatment, following its approval by NHS England. This marks a significant medical advancement, being the first new drug for resistant ovarian cancer to be approved in over two decades.

Ovarian cancer is a prevalent disease globally, affecting more than 300,000 women annually. A substantial number of patients, exceeding three-quarters, receive their diagnosis at an advanced stage, which historically makes the condition more challenging to manage.
